SALEM, Ore. — Jaxon Williams, 18, of the Ashland 1st Ward, Medford Oregon Stake, won first place in the classical guitar division of the Oregon State High School Solo Competition on April 29 sponsored by the Oregon Music Educators Association and the Oregon Student Activities Association at Salem, Ore. He defended his 2005 title.
Then, on May 26, Jaxon won the Class 4A Oregon State discus championship with a throw of 166 feet. He is the son of Doug and Ronda Williams.
