BOISE, Idaho — The Boise (Idaho) LDS Institute of Religion and members from 17 stakes in the Boise Valley staged eight performances of "Savior of the World." The production, held May 26-June 2 at the Boise State University Special Events Center, featured a cast and staff of 80 people and is the same script used in the Conference Center Theater in Salt Lake City during the Easter and Christmas seasons. (The script is being used on a limited basis outside Salt Lake City.)

Cast from Boise institute and 17 Boise stakes perform "Savior of the World" at Boise State University. Some 3,500 people attended the eight performances that drew members and friends from throughout the area.

The show, directed by Mary McGreaham with music directed by Tammie Williams, was well received by nearly 3,500 people, including hundreds who are not members of the Church. All performances were in front of full houses and received standing ovations.

President R. Brent Ririe of the Idaho Boise Mission called it "a tremendous event and a great blessing to missionary work."

Bishop Adam Cobb sent the youth from his ward to watch the production. A couple of days later, Bishop Cobb asked his son, who is a deacon, what he really thought of the show. His son said, "At first I thought, 'Oh great, another musical', . . . but somewhere in the middle a great feeling came over me and I felt, for the first time, that this is true!"

Bishop Cobb added, "As a priesthood leader I am grateful for this show. As a parent, I am more grateful."
