REXBURG, Idaho Work progresses on the new Rexburg Idaho Temple, with the placing of the statue of the Angel Moroni on the spire on a rainy Sept. 21. The temple, to serve Church members in the Upper Snake River Valley, including students at BYU-Idaho, was announced Dec. 12, 2003. Ground was broken by Elder John H. Groberg, then of the Presidency of the Seventy on July 30, 2005. A specific completion date has not been announced, but considerable interior work remains.
