The First Presidency has announced the calling of a new Missionary Training Center president and his wife. They will begin service in January 2007.
Joseph Flake Boone, 62, Provo Missionary Training Center; Park 1st Ward, Orem Utah Park Stake; counselor in the Provo Missionary Training Center presidency; former president of the Singapore Mission, regional representative, counselor in a stake presidency and bishopric, high councilor, stake Young Men president and missionary in the North British Mission. Retired Air Force chaplain. Born in Jacksonville, Fla., to James Roland and Ruth Flake Boone. Married Alisyn Day, nine children.
Currently serving in the Relief Society presidency at the Provo Missionary Training Center, Sister Boone served with her husband in the Singapore Mission, and is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, seminary teacher and missionary in the Netherlands Mission. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Walter Daniel and Margaret Lucile Jansson Day.
