The First Presidency has announced the callings of six new Missionary Training Center presidents. The new leaders and their wives will begin service in January 2007.
Sister Allred served with her husband in the Paraguay Asuncion Mission, and is a former public affairs missionary in the Spain Madrid Mission, member of the Young Women general board, stake Relief Society president, stake Primary president, and missionary in the Central American Mission. Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, to Carlos Florentino and Hilda Alvarenga Henriquez.
A ward missionary, Sister Pinon served with her husband in the Mexico Torreon Mission, and is a former secretary in a stake Relief Society, ward Relief Society president, counselor and teacher, counselor in a ward Primary presidency and enrichment leader. Born in St. Helens, Ore., to Carl Richard and Madlyn Veronia Yadon Kohlstrand.
Sister Seo served with her husband in the Korea Busan Mission, and is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, president of ward Relief Society and Primary, gospel doctrine teacher and temple ordinance worker. Born in Daegu, Korea, to Dong Whi and Chae Sun Kim Chung.
A Relief Society teacher, Sister Shurtleff served with her husband in the Ecuador Quito Mission and is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency; ward Relief Society president, counselor and teacher; ward Young Women president and Primary teacher. Born in St. George, Utah, to Joseph and Gertrude McGregor McArthur.
Sister Smith served with her husband in the Philippines Bacolod Mission, and is a former temple ordinance worker, counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, ward Young Women and Relief Society president and Primary teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Carl and Ruth Jensen Dazley.
A temple ordinance worker and assistant to the matron, Sister Sorensen served with her husband in the Illinois Peoria Mission and the Asia Area and is a former counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, gospel doctrine teacher, and stake Young Women adviser. Born in Long Beach, Calif., to Paul Gardner and Lois Ann Potter Payne.
