Dec. 23 — Temple Square Performances: Christmas on Temple Square, presenting music concerts of about 40 minutes: Assembly Hall (Tuesdays-Sundays) 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30 p.m.; South Visitors Center (Tuesdays-Sundays), 6, 7, and 8 p.m.; Joseph Smith Memorial Building (Mondays-Sundays), 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 p.m. (801) 240-3323 or www.lds.org/events.

Dec. 26-29 — "Savior of the World," musical production based on scriptural accounts of the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ, will be presented in the Conference Center Theater at 7:30 p.m. Some return tickets, $8 cash each, may be purchased in lobby by the ticket office of the Conference Center (801)570-0080 or www.lds.org/events.

Ongoing — "Joseph Smith The Prophet of the Restoration," a film showing events in the life of Joseph Smith from his early youth in Vermont to his martyrdom in Illinois at age 38, will be shown in the Legacy Theater in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Free admission (www.lds.org/events; 1-866-537-8457, toll-free in the U.S.; 570-0080, greater Salt Lake City area). There will be no standby lines.
