ALBANY, Ore. Neil Crook, a priest in the Albany 2nd Ward, Lebanon Oregon Stake, was named 5A Defensive Player of the Year and included in the 1st Team All-State by the Oregon State Athletic Association.
Neil, who attends early morning seminary and maintains an average GPA of 3.96, received the state football award after helping his football team reached its first championship game. He finished the season with 126 tackles, three interceptions, 2 1/2 sacks and two fumble recoveries.
