LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Matt Sherwood of the Pima 2nd Ward, Pima Arizona Stake, won the world championship as the team roping header at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo here on Dec. 9. He and his roping co-champion, Allen Bach, who won as the heeler, were the first in rodeo history to win world titles as non-partners since the event began recognizing two world champions in 1995, according to ESPN. The final world champions are determined according to season total earnings.
