Seven mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency to begin their service about July 1. Assignments will be announced later.

Leonard M. and Evelyn Abraham
Leonard McCall Abraham, 58, St. George 1st Ward, St. George Utah Stake; missionary in the Ukraine Donetsk Mission; former stake president and counselor, bishop, ward Young Men president and adviser, ward mission leader and missionary in the Argentina Mission. President and founder of Industrial Technical Education Systems and retired teacher. Born in Fillmore, Utah, to Myron Dale and Marjorie Jean McCall Abraham. Married Evelyn Tobler, five children.

A missionary in the Ukraine Donetsk Mission, Sister Abraham is a former counselor in ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary presidencies, ward missionary and ward Relief Society enrichment leader. Born in St. George, Utah, to Evan Guy and Beulah Blake Tobler.

Robert T. and Rebecca Cox
Robert Thomas Cox, 54, Tulare 2nd Ward, Porterville California Stake; ward mission leader and temple ordinance worker; former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, branch president, stake executive secretary and missionary in the Andes Peru Mission. Owner of Cox Farming. Born in Tulare, Calif., to Howard Marion and Dorothy Marie Cox. Married Rebecca Eugenia Friend, four children.

A ward Young Women adviser and temple ordinance worker, Sister Cox is a former counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, ward Young Women president and ward Relief Society president and counselor. Born in Santa Monica, Calif., to Rollis Lewis and Mary Violia Huestis Friend.

Mary and Ralph L. Dewsnup
Ralph Lynn Dewsnup, 58, Stratford Ward, Salt Lake Highland Stake; counselor in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission presidency and gospel doctrine teacher; former stake president, bishop, high councilor, missionary preparation teacher and missionary in the Central American Mission. Attorney, Dewsnup, King & Olsen. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Edwin Grant and Mary Jeannette Fairbanks Dewsnup. Married Mary Allene Cannon, five children.

A ward Primary teacher, Sister Dewsnup is a former stake and ward Young Women president, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency and stake missionary. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Howell Quayle and Ruth Bowman Cannon.

Marie and Marion R. Johnstun
Marion Royal Johnstun, 53, Rexburg 16th Ward, Rexburg Idaho East Stake; ward Sunday School teacher; former stake president, bishop and counselor, Scoutmaster and missionary in the Mexico Southeast Mission. Professor, teacher education, BYU-Idaho. Born in St. Helens, Ore., to Owen Royal and Mary Elisabeth Poorman Johnstun. Married Marie Lindstrom, five children.

Sister Johnstun is a former ward Primary president and early morning seminary teacher. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Raymond Stanley and Edna Ball Lindstrom.

LuAnn and Steven K. Peterson
Steven K. Peterson, 50, Lomas Ward, Mexico City Chapultepec Stake; former bishop, high councilor and missionary in the Mexico Hermosillo Mission. Director of temporal affairs for the Church. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Leatho Avol and Genevieve Kimber Peterson. Married LuAnn Boothe, six children.

A seminary teacher, Sister Peterson is a former stake and ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society president, counselor in a ward Young Women presidency, ward Young Women camp director and ward Primary teacher and chorister. Born in Burley, Idaho, to Leslie James and LuElla Velda Johnson Boothe.

Robin O. and Berta Roundy
Robin Otho Roundy, 53, Ithaca Ward, Owego New York Stake; ward mission leader; former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, ward Young Men president, and missionary in the Colombia Mission. Professor at Cornell University. Born in Snowflake, Ariz., to Elmo Smith and Myrle Pedersen Roundy. Married Berta Alicia Bravo Mendez, four children.

An early morning seminary teacher, Sister Roundy is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president and adviser, Primary teacher and missionary in the Mexico City Mexico Mission. Born in Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico, to Manuel Bravo Sandoval and Berta Mendez Ramirez de Bravo.

Sharon and James R. Tate
James Roscoe Tate, 63, Calvert Ward, Suitland Maryland Stake; counselor in the Washington DC North Mission presidency; former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and counselor, high councilor, stake mission president and seminary teacher. Partner and attorney, Tate, Bywater & Fuller. Born to Roscoe Charles and Alberta Lee Henderson Tate. Grew up in Clarkston, Ga. Married Sharon Spieks, two children.

A ward family history consultant and public affairs specialist, Sister Tate is a former stake Relief Society president and counselor, ward Relief Society president and Primary counselor. Born to Emil Thoni and Pauline Friedli Spieks, she grew up in Avondale, Ga.
