President David O. McKay dedicated a new student center at the University of Utah on Thursday, Feb. 28, 1957, according to the March 2, 1957, Church News.
President McKay graduated from the university in 1897 and played on its first football team, the article stated.
The dedicatory occasion was also the observance of the 107th anniversary of the school's founding.
