BILLINGS, Mont. — The first participant arrived at the Montana Multi-stake Young Single Adult site here four hours early to register, hinting that there was going to be a large turnout. More than 450 young single adults and priesthood leaders gathered from an 18-stake area making this the largest assembly of young single adults in the history of the Church in Montana. They came from all over Montana, northern Wyoming and western South Dakota to be instructed and edified, to meet other young single adults, to dance and eat and to provide service.

As part of conference, young single adults work in the gardens of Billings Montana Temple.

The theme of the conference, "LDS: Love, Devotion and Service," came from a talk given by President Gordon B. Hinckley in the General Relief Society Meeting of Sept. 23, 2006.

The conference was presided over by Elder Randy D. Funk, Area Seventy. Speakers included Sheri Dew, former counselor in the General Relief Society Presidency and current president and chief executive officer of Deseret Book; Elder Funk and his wife, Andrea; stake presidents; and young single adults. Conference activities consisted of service projects, dances and a buffet dinner.

More than 100 young single adults provided service as patrons in the Billings Montana Temple while some 175 others helped plant flowers and shrubbery on the temple grounds.

A total of 403 food boxes were prepared by another group of 45 young adults.
