New temple presidents

Two new leaders have been called by the First Presidency to serve as temple presidents and temple matrons.

Ronald and Myrna Lue Dyer
Ronald Earl Dyer, 72, Lakeridge 5th Ward, Orem Utah Lakeridge Stake, called as president of the Merida Mexico Temple, succeeding Carl L. Call. President Dyer's wife, Myrna Lue Montierth Dyer, will serve as temple matron. President Dyer, a Humanitarian Service missionary, has served as president of the Puerto Rico San Juan Mission, and as branch president and counselor, high councilor, ward executive secretary and missionary. He is an independently employed Real Estate Broker. He was born in Navasota, Texas, to Grady Earl and Mattie Zelma Permenter Dyer.

Sister Dyer is serving with her husband as a Humanitarian Service missionary. She is a former Relief Society president, Relief Society, Sunday School and Primary teacher, and has served in a Primary presidency, and as a Young Women adviser. Sister Dyer served with her husband as he presided over the Puerto Rico San Juan Mission. She was born in Mesa, Ariz., to Herbert Ray and Linnie Charlesetta Fillerup Montierth.

Charles and Helen Goo
Charles Wai Hing Goo, 61, Laie 7th Ward, Laie Hawaii North Stake, called as president of the Hong Kong China Temple, succeeding Kwok Yuen Tai. President Goo's wife, Helen Shiu Kuen Goo, will serve as temple matron. President Goo, a high councilor and temple sealer, has previously served as president of the China Hong Kong Mission, in the Hawaii Honolulu Mission presidency, as stake president, temple ordinance worker and missionary. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Charles Kwan Chiu Goo and Mildred York Kwai Chun Goo.

Sister Goo is a ward Relief Society compassionate service leader and temple ordinance worker. She is a former stake Relief Society president, ward Primary president and Young Women teacher. Sister Goo served with her husband as he presided over the China Hong Kong Mission. She was born in Kwong Tung, China, to Shiu Sing Kwong and Kwai Fung Lam Kwong.
