Schedules and other facts on 177th Semiannual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which will convene in the Conference Center this weekend.

Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6-7, 2007. The Saturday general sessions will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.; Sunday sessions will be held at 9:30 a.m. (which includes Music and the Spoken Word) and 2 p.m. The general priesthood meeting will be held in the Conference Center at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6.

Thousands of satellite channels in more than 80 countries worldwide will receive the feed so that members in various parts of the world can receive the event. The talks are translated into more than 80 languages, ranging from Albanian to Yapese. American Sign Language and closed captioning are also available.

On TV: All four general sessions will be broadcast live in the Salt Lake metro area on KSL-TV, Ch. 5; KBYU-TV, Ch. 11; and KBYU-TV, Ch. 21 on Comcast; Ch. 374 on DirecTV; and Ch. 9403 on the Dish Network. It will also be on KSL-DT, digital channel 5.1.

The signal comes by satellite on Galaxy satellite 11, transponder 4 (analog) or Galaxy 108, transponder 13 (digital).

On the radio: KSL Newsradio (AM-1160/FM-102.7) and KBYU radio (FM-89.1) will air all four general sessions live.

KSRR (AM-1400, Orem) and KQMB (FM-96.7, Orem) will also air conference live. Logan's KVNU (AM-610); Cedar City's KSUB (AM-590); Manti's KMTI (AM-650/FM-95.9/102.7) and Vernal's KVEL (AM-920) are other Utah live radio options.

On the Web: Anyone in the world with Internet access can watch or listen to all four general sessions. Live video streams of each session of conference (except general priesthood meeting) will be available in English at www.byubroadcasting.org. Streams in other languages will also be available. Live audio teams are available at www.lds.org/broadcast.

Mission of Miracles (noon, Ch. 5) — Carole Mikita's 2006 documentary about the LDS Church's humanitarian efforts in South America. (repeat)

Time Out for Women (4 p.m., Ch. 5) — A look at nationwide women's event.

Creating the New World (4:30 p.m., Ch. 5) — A documentary look at areas of Guatemala and southern Mexico that may be locations described in the Book of Mormon.

Sunday

Mormon Tabernacle Choir Comes Home (noon, Ch. 5) — New Mikita documentary goes behind the scenes with the choir.

United by Faith (1 p.m., Ch. 5) — Mikita's April documentary about the growth of the LDS Church in Eastern Europe.

Presidents and Prophets (4 p.m., Ch. 5) — U.S. presidents' relationships with Mormons.
