"I testify that I know you and I hold the priesthood of God and that he will answer our prayers with sweet assurance."

"In the past few days I have prayed that I will not fail" (as a member of the First Presidency), as others seem so much more able.

Through prayer, God's children may received answers that come as words to their minds, in a feeling or both.

That assurance may come from a memory of when a merciful Heavenly Father has assisted in the past. "Memories can sustain your faith."

"Forget yourself — pray about the people you are to serve." Also, "go to work — priesthood power is given to us to bless others."

This may involve a visit to a person, family or quorum member. For a father, it may be to correct a family member.

The spirit must take a testimony into people's hearts, so the Atonement of Christ can work. Members can't force others to feel the spirit, and even God does not force himself on others.

Men and boys must invite the spirit into their lives, so those they serve will also want it in their lives.

No priesthood holder can be careless about where his eyes will go. Avoid pornography. "Everyday life requires discipline of a conscious choice."
