centers directors. They will serve for two years, beginning their terms on
Jan. 1, 2008.
Diann L. and Lee H. Burke
Lee Hall Burke, 67, Mesa Arizona
Temple Visitors Center; Lundstrom Park 3rd Ward, Logan Utah East Stake;
bishop of the Logan University 64th Ward; former high councilor, counselor
in bishoprics, stake Sunday School president and missionary in the British
Mission. Retired as assistant to the President, Utah State University. Born
in Logan, Utah, to Vern Leroy and Elsie Hall Burke. Married Diann Louise
Barlow, three children.
Sister Burke is a former counselor in a ward Primary presidency, teacher
in Relief Society and Sunday School, ward Young Women president and
counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency. Born in Burley, Idaho, to C.
Clark and Louise Maude Bandley Barlow.
Sue J. and Roger C. Butterfield
Roger Christian Butterfield, 65,
Historic Kirtland Visitors Center; Country Park 8th Ward, South Jordan Utah
Country Park Stake; stake patriarch; former president of the California
Ventura Mission, stake president and counselor, bishop, sealer in the
Jordan River Utah Temple and missionary in the North Central States
Mission. Former automobile dealer. Born in Murray, Utah, to Elias Christian
and Maxine Sargent Butterfield. Married Sue Jones, eight children.
A ward Relief Society president, Sister Butterfield served with her
husband in the California Ventura Mission and is a former member of the
Relief Society General Board, stake and ward Primary president and ward
Young Women adviser. Born in Murray, Utah to Ivan Leroy and Gladys Ostler
Jones.
Patricia J. and Arthur E. Finch
Arthur Eaton Finch Jr., 67, Idaho
Falls Idaho Temple Visitors Center; East View Ward, Idaho Falls Idaho
Lincoln Stake; temple ordinance worker and counselor in a branch
presidency; former director for England Agency of LDS Family Services in
the
England Birmingham Mission, missionary in the Connecticut Hartford
Mission, counselor in a stake presidency and high councilor. Former
director of LDS Family Services agency. Born in Bakersfield, Calif., to
Arthur Eaton and Rae Dobyns Finch. Married Patricia Jean Anderson, nine
children.
A temple ordinance worker and family home evening adviser, Sister Finch
served with her husband in the England Birmingham and Connecticut Hartford
Missions and is a former stake Young Women secretary and counselor and Cub
Scout leader. Born in Bakersfield, Calif., to James Ross and Rosalind Dewar
Anderson.
Robert E. and Martha Ludwig
Robert Estes Ludwig, 57, Illinois
Nauvoo Mission; Falcon Park Ward, Highlands Ranch Colorado Stake; temple
ordinance worker; former president of the
Colorado Denver South Mission,
stake president, bishop and institute teacher. Retired president and chief
executive officer of Ludwig Industries. Born in Tucson, Ariz., to Ralph
Homer and Elizabeth Bardwell Ludwig. Married Martha Ann Fox, four
children.
A temple ordinance worker and seminary teacher, Sister Ludwig served
with her husband in the Colorado Denver South Mission and is a former
seminary and institute teacher, counselor in stake Young Women and Primary
presidencies and ward Relief Society president. Born in Bluefield, W.V., to
David Stevenson and Phyllis Ann Brown Fox.
Brian F. and Jean S. Thornley
Brian Floyd Thornley, 68, New Zealand
Temple Visitors Center; Hillcrest 1st Ward, Logan Utah East Stake; gospel
doctrine teacher; former stake president and counselor, bishop, ward Young
Men President, high councilor and missionary in the Eastern States Mission.
Retired dentist. Born in Logan, Utah, to Heber Floyd and Glenda Elaine
Phillips Thornley. Married Jean Stoker, six children.
A Primary activity leader, Sister Thornley is a former counselor in a
ward Relief Society presidency, teacher in Relief Society and Primary,
enrichment leader and Lambda Delta Sigma adviser. Born in Salem, Ore., to
Golden Lyman and Armenia Willey Stoker.
A. Bryan and Sara J. Weston
Arlo Bryan Weston, 65, Hill Cumorah
Visitors Center; Bountiful 9th Ward, Bountiful Utah Stake; temple ordinance
worker and ward activities committee chairman; former president of the
Oregon Portland Mission, counselor in stake presidencies, bishop, stake
mission president and missionary in the Central British Mission. Retired
zone administrator, Church Educational System. Born in Salt Lake City,
Utah, to Arlo B. and Vernetta Coombs Weston. Married Sara Joanne Smith, 11
children.
A temple ordinance worker and ward activities committee co-chairman,
Sister Weston served with her husband in the Oregon Portland Mission and is
a former ward Relief Society president and counselor, counselor in a stake
Relief Society presidency and Primary teacher. Born in Logan, Utah, to
Richard Lavon and Orfa Johnson Smith.
