John R. and Rosa L. Pollard
John Ray Pollard, 69, Gonzales Ward, Baton Rouge Louisiana Stake, called as president of the Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple, succeeding President V. Kenneth Dutile, who recently passed away. President Pollard's wife, Rosa Louise Boston Pollard, will serve as temple matron. He has served as counselor in the Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple presidency, CES coordinator for the Russia St. Petersburg Mission, high councilor, ward Young Men president, Sunday School president, and high priest group leader. A retired operating technician and trainer for PCS Nitrogen Corporation, he was born in Marietta, Miss., to Marcus Browning and Letha Carpenter Pollard.

Sister Pollard has served as an assistant to the matron of the Baton Rouge Louisiana Temple, and served with her husband in the Russia St. Petersburg Mission. She has also served as ward Relief Society president, stake and ward Young Women president, ward Primary president, and seminary teacher. She was born in Memphis, Tenn., to William Leroy and Christine Smith Boston.
