Church members sustained 15 new General Authorities, to serve as members
of the First and Second Quorums of the Seventy. In addition, two members of
the Second Quorum of the Seventy, Elder Craig C.
Christensen and Elder William R.
Walker, were called to serve in the First Quorum of the Seventy. The
sustainings took place Saturday morning, April 5. Profiles of the new
General Authorities will be published in future editions of the Church News.
Those called to the First Quorum of the Seventy:
Elder Marcos A. Aidukaitis
Elder Marcos A. Aidukaitis, 48, Porto
Alegre, Brazil. President of the
Brazil Brasilia Mission. He served as a
member of the Fourth Quorum of the Seventy, Brazil South Area, from 2000 to
2005. Business owner. Married Luisa Englert, five children.
Elder Gerald Causse
Elder Gerald Causse, 44, Paris,
France. Member of the Third Quorum of the Seventy in the Europe West Area.
Employed in the food industry where he has worked with several supermarket
chains and food distribution companies. Married Valerie Lucienne Marie
Claude Babin, five children.
Elder Lawrence E. Corbridge

Sandy, Utah. Gospel doctrine teacher. Lawyer, shareholder and senior
attorney at a Salt Lake City law firm. Married Jacquelyn Gayle Shamo, five

Elder Eduardo Gavarret, 51, Lima,
Peru. Member of bishopric in Santa Cruz Ward. Served as a member of the
Fourth Quorum of the Seventy, Brazil Area. General manager of a
pharmaceutical company in Peru. Married Norma Beatriz Gorgoroso, three
children.

Brazil. Member of the Seventh Quorum of the Seventy in the Brazil Area.
Worked as a human resources manager before starting his own company.
