Family: Born July 19, 1955, to Alberto and Ines Zeballos in Ovalle, Chile. Married Carmen Gloria Valenzuela on June 26, 1982, in the Sao Paulo Brazil Temple. Parents of five children: Carmen Gloria, Jorge I., Pablo T., Francisca Mayabel, and Francisco Andres.
Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Santa Maria University (1979); master's degree in business administration from Brigham Young University (1991).
Career: Mining engineer; manager of corporate affairs of large Chilean mining company.
Community service: Association of Industrials of Antofagasta, board member and vice president.
Church service: President of Chile Concepcion Mission (2006-2008); Area Seventy; Area Authority; regional representative; stake president; bishop; served in Chile Concepcion South Mission (1979-1981).
