Denise and Melvin J. Marion
Melvin Jones Marion, 65, has been presiding over the New Zealand Missionary Training Center since March 2008. He is from the Provo Utah Oak Hills Stake, and is a former president of the Canada Winnipeg Mission, counselor in a Provo Missionary Training Center branch presidency, stake missionary, Young Men adviser, branch president, bishop, high councilor and missionary in the Canada Toronto Mission. Retired owner of a television station. Born in Mount Airy, N.C., to John William and Emma Victoria Jones Marion. Married Denise Bascom, eight children.

Sister Marion served with her husband in the Canada Winnipeg Mission and at the Provo Missionary Training Center. She is a former nursery leader, stake missionary, Relief Society teacher, organist, and ward Young Women and Primary president. Born in Huntington Park, Calif., to Earl Wesley and Eunice Nadine Diffey Bascom.
