Bells on Temple Square, which comes under the umbrella of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, is looking for several male bell ringers — ringers strong enough to play the heavier bells.
Auditions are ongoing. Upon turning in their applications, candidates will be given an audition date and time. Previous auditions have consisted of a written examination and a performance audition with Bells on Temple Square. Candidates for Bells on Temple Square must meet the following criteria:
• Be between 20 and 45 years of age
• Live within 100 miles of Temple Square
• Be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in good standing.
Those interested may go to: www.mormontabernaclechoir.org/auditions/bell for a pdf-based application. They may complete the application directly on their computers by typing in the information, then save and e-mail it to Bells Conductor Tom Waldron at: tmwal47@comcast.net.
Application materials should be completed and returned as quickly as possible. Individuals who prefer to fill in the form manually, may send applications to one of the following:
