The First Presidency has called five new visitors center directors and their wives, who will serve with them. They will begin service about Jan. 1, 2009.
Parley Redford Baldwin, 62, Cove Fort Historic Site; Pleasant View 6th Ward, Pleasant View Utah Stake; ward young single adult adviser; former stake Young Men president, high councilor, bishop and counselor and missionary in the Scotland Mission. District Court Judge, State of Utah. Born in Afton, Wyo., to Jesse Albert and Nellie Redford Baldwin. Married Cathy Cook.
A ward young single adult adviser, Sister Baldwin is a former counselor in ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary presidencies, ward Primary president, ward Relief Society teacher and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Bert Eugene and Ramona Poulson Cook.
Hoyt William Brewster, 70, Mormon Trail Center at Historic Winter Quarters; Brighton 10th Ward, Salt Lake Brighton Stake; previously served as president of the New Zealand Missionary Training Center and former president of the Netherlands Amsterdam Mission, stake president and counselor, bishop and missionary in the Netherlands-Belgium Mission. Retired manager, Temple Department. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Hoyt William and Naomi Smith Brewster. Married Judith Louise Thiede.
Sister Brewster served with her husband in the New Zealand Missionary Training Center and Netherlands Amsterdam Mission, and is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, counselor in ward Young Women and Primary presidencies, and teacher improvement coordinator. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert D. and Mildred Allen Thiede.
Mark Edwin Eubank, 67, Laie Hawaii Temple Visitors Center; Bountiful 50th Ward, Bountiful Utah Heights Stake; missionary in the St. George Temple Visitors Center; former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and counselor, institute teacher, welcome host for Music and the Spoken Word, and stake Sunday School president. Retired meteorologist. Born in Long Beach, Calif., to Dwight Edwin and Rena Velaine Flint Eubank. Married Jean Ann Tollack.
A missionary in the St. George Temple Visitors Center, Sister Eubank is a former teacher development instructor, ward historian and gospel doctrine teacher. Born in Glendale, Calif., to William Ebert and Lorena Mae Hogan Tollack.
Steven John Nelson, 57, Liberty Jail Historic Site and Independence Visitors Center; Deer Creek Ward, Midway Utah Stake; LDS Family Services Missionary; former president of the Texas San Antonio Mission, high councilor, gospel doctrine teacher, and missionary in the Texas North Mission. Retired Chief Executive Officer of Unishippers Inc. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert Wiley and Melva Gale Nelson. Married Cindi MacDonald.
