Representing the true spirit of Christmas, Nativity scenes are located throughout the Church Plaza in downtown Salt Lake City, including on the reflecting pool in front of the Salt Lake Temple. Christmastime kindles special memories, including those of General Authorities, Church leaders and others.

From now until Christmas, the Church News will run Christmas memories written by members of the Quorum of the Twelve, their wives, and some general auxiliary leaders. This week the series begins with memories by Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin of the Quorum of the Twelve; Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve, and Sister Kristen M. Oaks, wife of Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve.
