Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1, 2009.
Scott McDonald Brubaker, 57, and Rebecca Patterson Brubaker, five children, Belgium Brussels/Netherlands Mission; Valley View 10th Ward, Salt Lake Valley View Stake. Brother Brubaker is a former public affairs missionary in the France Paris Mission, bishop and counselor, high councilor, stake and ward Young Men president, Scoutmaster, and missionary in the Belgium Brussels Mission. Partner, Smith Brubaker Haacke Development. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Junior and Helen Sims McDonald Brubaker. Sister Brubaker served in the France Paris Mission with her husband and is a former ward Young Women president and counselor, stake and ward Young Women camp director, counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency and ward Relief Society president. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Alma Thomas and Chesla June Seely Patterson.
Sean Edmund Russell Donnelly, 46, and Dianne Robinson Donnelly, Madagascar Antananarivo Mission; Centurion 2nd Ward, Pretoria South Africa Stake. Brother Donnelly is a former key city public affairs director, counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, ward mission leader, high councilor, and missionary in the Switzerland Geneva Mission. Group chief executive officer, Moditure Group. Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, to Richard Gabriel Donnelly and Carole Anne Hillman Swalwell. Sister Donnelly is a former stake Relief Society president and counselor, stake and ward Primary president, ward Young Women president and seminary teacher. Born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England, to Joseph Dennis and Muriel Katherine Fulford Oxley Robinson.
Sherman Kay Margetts, 55, and Sherry Ann Blight Margetts, three children, Japan Fukuoka Mission; Mountain View 6th Ward, West Jordan Utah Mountain View Stake. Brother Margetts is a counselor in a bishopric and a former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Japan Tokyo Mission. President, SSM Distributing. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Glen Verl and Audrey Colleen Blanchard Margetts. Sister Margetts is a ward Sunday School teacher and a former ward Young Women president and counselor, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Gayson William and Bonnie Jean Fleming Blight.
Richard Brent Olson, 62, and Dianne Mickelsen Olson, seven children, Utah Ogden Mission; Doylestown Ward, Philadelphia Pennsylvania Stake. Brother Olson is a stake president and a former bishop, high councilor, stake clerk and missionary in the Sweden Mission. Assistant counsel, Merck & Co., Inc. Sister Olson is a former ward Relief Society president and counselor, counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, seminary teacher, ward Primary president and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Murray, Utah, to Lee A. and Thelma Wardle Mickelsen.
Adilson de Paula Parrella, 46, and Elaine Finholdt Parrella, five children, Brazil Belo Horizonte Mission; Alphaville Ward, Barueri Brazil Stake. Brother Parrella is an Area Seventy and a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, branch president, ward Sunday School president and missionary in the Brazil Porto Alegre Mission. Lyle Eric Shamo, 62, and Tracy Jean Bedney Shamo, eight children, England London South Mission; Parkway 8th Ward, South Jordan Utah Parkway Stake. Brother Shamo is a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and counselor, ward Young Men president, high councilor and missionary in the Southwest British Mission. Retired managing director of the Audiovisual Department for the Church. Born in Hurricane, Utah, to George Harry and Irene Brooksby Shamo. Sister Shamo is a gospel doctrine teacher and a former member of a stake Young Women board, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society teacher, Cub Scout leader and ward activities committee chairwoman. Born in Minneapolis, Minn., to Robert Steele and Dorothy Jeanne Bedney.
Jeffrey Ted Simmons, 52, and Diane Price Simmons, four children, Australia Sydney South Mission; Monument Park 14th Ward, Salt Lake Monument Park Stake.
