WINDEMERE, FLA.

Relief Society sisters in the Windermere Ward, Orlando Florida South Stake, celebrated the Relief Society's 165th anniversary in March with an old-fashioned quilting bee.

They collected donations of fabric, batting and yarn to make quilts for the Church Humanitarian Center. All of the materials used were donated by sisters in the ward. Also some brought their own hand-made quilts to display around the room. The event provided an opportunity for the women to do service and get to know each other better. "This celebration of the Relief Society beginnings helped us to remember our past, and to contribute to the present humanitarian cause," said Jacque Munns, the ward's Relief Society president.
