"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." — 1 Thessalonians 5:18

I love this scripture because it explains one way to find joy in our lives. We all have been given different trials and challenges. By living in gratitude for ALL of the experiences in my life, my eyes have been opened to the goodness of God. I know He gives us experiences for our good.

In 2 Nephi 2:2, it states, "He consecrates our afflictions for our gain. "I am grateful for my trials because this is how I learn to become more like my Savior. Gratitude helps me recognize the tender mercies of the Lord in my daily life. I am grateful to Heavenly Father simply because I have the knowledge of the gospel.

As members of the Church, we have truth and guidance our lives that so many in this world are looking for. We are so blessed! In President Thomas S. Monson's October 2008 general conference talk he stated, "Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey, and share our love with friends and family. One day each one of us will run out of tomorrows."

I hope we recognize how blessed we are and by doing so find joy in the journey of life.
