FAMILY: Born March 28, 1951, in Denton, Texas, to Frank Nilson and Betty Jean Newman Martino. Married Jennie Marie Barron on Aug. 18, 1973, in the Ogden Utah Temple. Five children: Kimberly (Jason) Labrum, Karina (Chris) Short, Emily (Ben) Gold, Lauren (Richard) Bowman, and Benjamin (Emily).
EDUCATION: Received a bachelor of science degree in business from BYU in 1974.
EMPLOYMENT: Chairman and former president and chief executive officer of Russell-Newman, a family business.
CHURCH SERVICE: Area Seventy, mission president, stake president, stake executive secretary, high councilor, stake Young Men president, mission president's counselor, bishop, seminary teacher and missionary in the Guatemala-El Salvador Mission.
