AUG. 11 — Concerts in the Park presents "T Minus 5" a popular a cappella quintet with comedic timing. Held at Brigham Young Historic Park on the southeast corner of State Street and Second Avenue (North Temple), 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 801-240-3323. Free admission.
AUG. 12 — Garden Talks in the Park presents "Shade Gardens for a Woodland Look." Jim Horrocks will discuss ferns and other exotic shade plants. Brigham Young Historic Park, 7:30 p.m., free admission.
AUG. 13 — Preserving Your Personal History. The lecture will discuss the benefits of keeping a journal, the art of keeping a journal and examples of journals. AUG. 14 — Concerts in the Park presents "My Sisters" who will be singing contemporary pop songs and some Polynesian selections. Brigham Young Historic Park, 7:30 p.m., free admission.
AUG. 15 — Award-winning pianist Nicole Biggs will be performing classical works by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Claude Debussy, and Franz Liszt in the Assembly Hall, 7:30 p.m. For more information call 801-240-3323 or visit the Web site www.lds.org/events.
DAILY — Organ recitals held in the Tabernacle Monday through Saturday at noon, Sundays at 2 p.m. Recitals last for 30 minutes and are open to the public.
THURSDAYS — Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearsals are open to the public in the Tabernacle on Thursday evenings at 8 p.m.
SUNDAYS — "Music and the Spoken Word" held Sunday mornings at the Tabernacle and feature the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Doors open at 8 a.m. and close at 9:15 a.m. for the 30 minute broadcast.
