NOV. 1 — A CES fireside for young adults ages 18 through 30, both married and single, will be transmitted over the Church satellite system at 6 p.m. (MST) with a subsequent rebroadcast at 8 p.m. (MST). The speaker will be President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, second counselor in the First Presidency. For information on worldwide broadcast times or other event details, visit lds.org/broadcast.
NOV. 6 — Richard Elliott, a Tabernacle organist, will perform works by Bach, Brahms, Debussy and others at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle.
NOV. 7 — The Sounds Choir, under the direction of Dixie Johnson, will perform in the Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m. This community choir from Idaho Falls, Idaho, will perform traditional folk songs and spirituals.
NOV. 13 — The Bells on Temple Square, under the direction of Tom Waldron, will present a Christmas concert in the Tabernacle at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are required. For ticket information, please call 801-570-0080 or visit lds.org/events.
SUNDAYS — "Music and the Spoken Word" is held Sunday mornings in the Tabernacle on Temple Square and features the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 9:15 a.m. for the 30-minute broadcast.
DAILY — "Joseph Smith: The Prophet of the Restoration," a film about the life and legacy of Joseph Smith, is available Mondays through Saturdays at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building in the Legacy Theater and in the North Visitors Center on Sundays. The film runs every 90 minutes starting at 9 a.m., with the last showing beginning at 9 p.m. For more information, call 801-240-1245.
DAILY — The organ staff and guest organists perform 30-minute recitals in the Tabernacle from noon to 12:30 p.m. and 2 to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday recitals will be performed from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Enter the Tabernacle at door 11.
