The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that this year's Latino Christmas program will be a Spanish version of the LDS stage production "Savior of the World."
"El Salvador del mundo" is a musical production based on scriptural accounts of the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The show features a cast of talented actors, singers and musicians sharing testimony through drama and song of the divine mission of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Savior of the world.
Three performances of "El Salvador del mundo" will be staged in the Mormon Church's Bountiful Regional Center, located at 850 North 400 East in North Salt Lake, Utah. The dates and times of the performances are Friday, Dec. 4, 7 p.m; Saturday, Dec. 5, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Two performances of "El Salvador del Mundo" will be held in Utah County at the Timpview High School auditorium, 3570 Timpview Drive, Provo, Utah, on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The event is free to the public. However, tickets are required for all the performances except the 2 p.m. performance in Provo.
Tickets may be obtained by contacting local leaders of LDS Spanish-speaking congregations; Spanish-speaking full-time Mormon missionaries are also distributing tickets.
