Professional-caliber actors are sought to fill 20 core cast roles in the summer 2010 Nauvoo Pageant. Eleven men's roles, and nine women's roles are available for actors in their 20s through 60s.
"The rigorous nature of the this outdoor summer pageant requires that core cast members be experienced, faithful LDS performers demonstrating a high degree of maturity, flexibility and willingness to work long hours," said Kris Larsen, stage manager. "Once cast, candidates must also receive recommendations from their bishops."
Rehearsals for core cast members will take place in Salt Lake City weekly through the month of June and then move to Nauvoo, Ill, where the pageant will open July 6 and run through July 31. Core cast members will receive a modest honorarium appropriate to their role.
Auditions will be held in North Salt Lake, Utah, Jan. 19-21, from 6-10 p.m.; in Provo, Utah, Jan. 15, from 5:30-10 p.m. and Jan. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Callbacks are scheduled Jan. 22 and 23 in North Salt Lake.
