Christmas time with all its festive lighting and Christ-oriented displays will be memorable on Temple Square this year. Choral and musical groups will present free music, carols, and songs of the season in the following venues:
Assembly Hall: Tuesdays through Sundays at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 p.m. (November 28 through December 23)
South Visitors' Center: Tuesdays through Sundays at 6:00, 7:00, and 8:00 p.m. by various musical groups; Monday evening performances by talented Temple Square Missionaries. (November 28 through December 27)
Church History Museum: Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Gallery (December 1 through December 22)
Church Office Building: Mondays through Fridays at 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. (November 30 through December 23)
Family History Library: Tuesdays through Saturdays either at 12:00 noon or 4:00 p.m. (November 28 through December 23)
Joseph Smith Memorial Building: Mondays through Saturdays at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, and 5:00 p.m. (November 28 through December 26)
Performing groups include high school and collegiate student choruses, ensembles, and madrigals from Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming, as well as children's choruses, community choirs, and other musical groups.
Adults and children of all ages are welcome at all of the above Christmas performances. A detailed schedule of groups performing, including site location and times of performances, is available at information and hostess desks throughout Temple Square or can be found online at www.lds.org/events and then click on Temple Square Performances.

November 20 through January 2: "Savior of the World," a musical drama based on scriptural accounts of the birth and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, will be in the Conference Center Theater. Evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m., with Saturday matinees at 2:00 p.m. For ticket availability, call 801-570-0080.
Saturday, November 28: "We Also Sing" women's chorus under the direction of Merrilee Webb will sing in the Tabernacle at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, December 2: Combined Institute of Religion Choirs in the Tabernacle at 7:30 p.m. Choirs include Ephraim Institute of Religion LD Singers, Logan Institute of Religion Latter-day Voices, Ogden Institute of Religion Choralaires, Orem Institute of Religion Latter-Day Celebration, Salt Lake University Institute of Religion Singers, and Taylorsville Redwood Institute of Religion Sounding Joy.
Sunday, December 6: The First Presidency Christmas Devotional in the Conference Center at 6:00 p.m. with music by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square. Talks on Christmas themes will be presented by members of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, December 10, 11, and 12: The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square Christmas Concerts will be presented in the Conference Center at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. All tickets have been distributed for this event. A stand-by line will begin at the North Gate of Temple Square for those without tickets.
Sunday, December 13: "Music and The Spoken Word" broadcast, followed by a mini-concert by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square, will take place in the Conference Center at 9:30 a.m. All tickets have been distributed, however a stand-by line will begin at the North Gate of Temple Square for those without tickets.
Tuesday through Thursday, December 29-31: New Year's Eve on Temple Square
Come celebrate New Year's Eve on Temple Square with free entertainment for adults, youth, and children of all ages (no Eve passes required). Other downtown events require a $15 pass (children under 10 are free).
