Seven mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency to begin their serviceabout July 1. Their mission assignments will be announced later.
George Holbrook Groberg, 57, and Bonnie Gay Jensen Groberg, seven children, Castlerock Ward, Idaho Falls Taylor Mountain Stake. Brother Groberg serves as a counselor in the BYU-Idaho 1st Stake presidency and is a former bishop and counselor, ward Young Men president, branch president and missionary in the Southeast Asia Mission. Pediatrician. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Delbert Valentine and Jennie Holbrook Groberg.
Sister Groberg serves as a counselor in the ward Young Women presidency and is a former ward Primary president, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, ward choir director and ward Young Women camp director. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Joseph Elwood and Gloria Marie Winther Jensen.
Richard Mark Gulbrandsen, 55, and Karen Skousen Gulbrandsen, six children, Estate Groves Ward, Mesa Arizona Citrus Heights Stake. Brother Gulbrandsen is a stake president and former counselor in a stake presidency, counselor in a bishopric, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Mexico Mexico City Mission. Attorney/Partner, Skousen, Gulbrandsen & Patience. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Norman Ralph and Lois Ione Stirling Gulbrandsen.
Sister Gulbrandsen is a ward Young Women adviser and a former ward Young Women and Primary president, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency and Sunday School teacher. Born in Phoenix, Ariz., to William Jess and Joan Taylor Skousen.
David Robert Irwin, 62, and Lyn Protheroe Irwin, five children, Exeter Ward, Plymouth England Stake. Brother Irwin served as a senior missionary in the Czech Prague Mission, counselor in the England London South Mission presidency, stake president and counselor and bishop. Retired deputy principal, Royal School for the Deaf. Born in Southport, England, to Robert and Ann Williams Irwin.
Sister Irwin served with her husband in the Czech Prague Mission and is a former counselor in stake and ward Relief Society presidencies, ward Primary president, counselor in a Young Women presidency and seminary teacher. Born in Colwyn Bay, Wales, to Douglas Maurice and Doris Gertrude Kirkham Protheroe.
Horacio D. Madariaga, 58, and Ada Edith Darias Madariaga, six children, Caballito Ward, Buenos Aires Argentina Liniers Stake. Brother Madariaga is a bishop and a former stake president and counselor, counselor in a mission presidency, branch president and missionary in the Argentina Cordoba Mission. Customer service manager for the Church in Argentina. Born in General Roca, Rio Negro, Argentina, to Carlos and Adelasia Zecchi Madariaga.
Sister Madariaga is a former stake Relief Society president and counselor, ward Young Women and Primary president, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency and missionary in the Argentina Cordoba Mission. Born in La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Inmaculado Hugo and Maria Felicia Nucciarone Darias.
Stephen Jay Sorenson, 60, and Corinne Clyde Sorenson, five children, Capitol Hill 2nd Ward, Salt Lake Stake. Brother Sorenson is a stake president and a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and counselor, high councilor, stake clerk and missionary in the Finnish mission. Sister Sorenson is a ward Primary teacher and a former stake Young Women president and camp leader, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, ward Primary president and ward Relief Society president. Born in Springville, Utah, to Grant Edward and Leone Reynolds Clyde.
Ronald Laurence Veirs, 62, and JoAnn Bosley Veirs, seven children, Victoria Ward, Rancho Cucamonga California Stake. Brother Veirs is a counselor in the California San Bernardino Mission and a former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, stake mission president, bishop and missionary in the Argentine Mission. Chiropractor. Born in Pittsburg, Calif., to George Robert and Margurite Lucille Rogers Veirs.
Sister Veirs serves as a Relief Society humanitarian specialist and is a former ward Primary teacher, ward Young Women adviser, Cub Scout leader and ward Relief Society compassionate service leader. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James Blayne and Dora Mae Hendrix Bosley.
David Rudolph Wolfgramm, 59, and Sue Gardiner Wolfgramm, five children, Elk Hollow Ward, North Salt Lake Utah Stake. Brother Wolfgramm is a teacher at the Wasatch Branch youth correctional and foster care facilities, and a former stake president, bishop, ward missionary, gospel essentials teacher, and missionary in the Italy South Mission. Chief financial officer, The Ivory Companies. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Rudolph Herbert and Edna Wiberg Pugsley Wolfgramm.
Sister Wolfgramm is a teacher at the Wasatch Branch youth correctional and foster care facilities and is a former stake Young Women president, ward Relief Society president, ward enrichment leader, ward missionary and gospel essentials teacher.
