Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.

Laurie H. and Kent H. Cannon

Kent Hales Cannon, 53, and Laurie Ann Harris Cannon, five children, Idaho Boise Mission; Parleys 3rd Ward, Salt Lake Parleys Stake. Brother Cannon is a former stake president, bishop and counselor, stake mission president, elders quorum president, Aaronic Priesthood adviser and missionary in the France Paris Mission. President & chief executive officer, Beneficial Financial Group. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Ivins and Isabel Hales Cannon.

Sister Cannon is a former ward Young Women president and counselor, counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society president and counselor, counselor in a ward Primary presidency and ward Young Women adviser. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Thorold Dale and Gloria Euray Peterson Harris.

Julie Ann and Mark C. Furniss

Mark Chester Furniss, 57, and Julie Ann Barlow Furniss, five children, Korea Daejeon Mission; Pleasant Valley 5th Ward, Ogden Utah Pleasant Valley Stake. Brother Furniss is a former bishop, high councilor, ward Young Men president, elders quorum president and missionary in the Korea Seoul Mission. Tax partner, Schmitt Griffiths Smith. Born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Lloyd Smith and Carol Marie Chester Furniss.

Sister Furniss is a former stake Primary president, ward Young Women president and adviser, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency and ward Primary music leader. Born in Logan, Utah, to Granville Elwood and Edith Rawlings Barlow.

Llywyllyn G. and William A. Hernaez

William Apostol Hernaez, 49, and Corcuera Galvez Hernaez, six children, Philippines Cagayan de Oro Mission; Butuan 1st Ward, Butuan Philippines Stake. Brother Hernaez serves as a counselor in the Philippines Butuan Mission presidency and is a former stake president and counselor, stake Young Men president, regional welfare specialist, bishop and missionary in the Philippines Baguio Mission. Coordinator, Church Educational System. Born in Davao City, Philippines, to Manuel Espartero Hernaez Sr. and Norma Fabra Apostol.

Sister Hernaez serves as a ward Primary teacher and is a former ward Primary president, ward Relief Society teacher and missionary in the Philippines Cebu Mission. Born in Davao City, Philippines, to Jaime Galvez and Emilia Mijares Corcuera Galvez.

Christina M. and Ryan V. Pagaduan

Ryan Virola Pagaduan, 36, and Cristina Diaz Magbitang Pagaduan, two children, Philippines Iloilo Mission; Quezon City 1st Ward, Quezon City Philippines Stake. Brother Pagaduan serves as a counselor in a stake presidency and is a former bishop and counselor, high councilor, stake Young Men president, stake Sunday School president and missionary in the Philippines Cebu Mission. Manager of Training and Operations, Philippines Missionary Training Center. Born in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, to Arsenio Abraham and Aida Calara Virola Pagaduan.

Sister Pagaduan is a counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency and is a former ward Primary president, counselor in a ward Young Women presidency, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, gospel doctrine teacher and ward enrichment leader. Born in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, to Crispino Castro and Florentina Lapuz Diaz Magbitang.

Sharon B. and William A. Schaefermeyer

William Arthur Schaefermeyer, 66, and Sharon Lynn Bodily Schaefermeyer, six children, Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission; Hunter 15th Ward, Salt Lake Hunter East Stake. Brother Schaefermeyer is a former stake president, bishop and counselor, high councilor, ward Young Men president and counselor and missionary in the Northeast British Mission. Retired director of studios for the Church. Born in San Diego, Calif., to Arthur Eugene and Mary Vera Aycock Schaefermeyer.

Sister Schaefermeyer is a former stake Primary president and counselor, ward Relief Society president, counselor in a ward Young Women presidency and gospel doctrine teacher. Born in Vernal, Utah, to Reed Fisher and Olen Orabus Hunting Bodily.

Craig L. and Lonna A. Ward

Craig Lindsay Ward, 62, and Lonna Adamson Ward, five children, Panama Panama City Mission; Huntington Beach 4th Ward, Huntington Beach California Stake. Brother Ward is a counselor in the stake presidency and a former counselor in the California Long Beach Mission presidency, bishop and counselor, high councilor, seminary teacher and missionary in the North Argentine and France Paris missions. Retired owner/manager, Wards Furniture. Born in Long Beach, Calif., to Karl Moroni and Ethelyn Lindsay Ward.

Sister Ward serves as a stake Young Women secretary and is a former ward Young Women president, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, ward Primary president, ward music chairman and family history consultant. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dale and Inez Howard Adamson.

D. Keith and Ada S. Wilson

David Keith Wilson, 55, and Ada Sue Garner Wilson, eight children, Washington Everett Mission; Sunset Heights 4th Ward, Orem Utah Sunset Heights Stake. Brother Wilson serves as a high councilor and Church service missionary and is a former temple ordinance worker, ward mission leader, bishop and missionary in the Japan Fukuoka Mission. Former chief executive officer, DynamicCity. Born in North Bay, Ontario, Canada, to Norman Floyd and Edith Rosemary Nicholls Wilson.

Sister Wilson serves as a counselor in the stake Young Women presidency and is a former counselor in ward Relief Society, Young Women and Primary presidencies, Cub Scout leader, ward Primary chorister and ward organist. Born in Raleigh, N.C. to Thomas Harold and Ceytru Bentley Garner.
