Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service about July 1.

Lorena and Carlos F. Arredondo

Carlos Francisco Arredondo, 52, and Ruth Lorena Laparra Veliz Arredondo, five children, Nicaragua Managua North Mission; Acatán Ward, Guatemala City Palmita Stake. Brother Arredondo serves as a public affairs director and is a former stake president and counselor, bishop and missionary in the El Salvador San Salvador Mission. Materials management manager for the Church. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to Victor Manuel Arredondo and Graciela Elizabeth Castro de Arredondo.

Sister Arredondo serves as a ward Young Women president and is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president and ward Sunday school teacher. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to Gilberto Antonio Laparra Martinez and Amanda de Jesus Veliz Laparra.

Zeidy Lucia Solano and Javier F. Monestel

Javier F. Monestel, 40, and Zeidy Solano de Monestel, three children, Nicaragua Managua South Mission; Ciudad Colón Ward, San José Costa Rica La Sabana Stake. Brother Monestel serves as bishop and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, branch president, high councilor and missionary in the Costa Rica San Jose Mission. Country director, Seminaries and Institutes of Religion. Born in Cartago, Costa Rica, to Rafael Angel Monestel Sandi and Maria Cecilia Romero Solano Monestel.

Sister Monestel serves as a seminary teacher and is a former ward Young Women president and counselor in ward Relief Society and Primary presidencies. Born in Costa Rica to Noe and Flora Ureña Luna Solano Rodriguez.

James C. and Sara Lisa Perry

James Carl Perry, 50, and Sara Lisa Martenson Perry, seven children, Virginia Richmond Mission; Naches Ward, Selah Washington Stake. Elder Perry serves as an Area Seventy and is a former stake president, high councilor, counselor in a bishopric, stake mission president and counselor in an Elders Quorum presidency. Finance executive, Summit Leasing, Inc. Born in Seattle, Wash., to Richard Grayson and Jane Marie Lippert Perry.

Sister Perry serves as a gospel doctrine teacher and is a former ward Young Women and Relief Society president, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, ward Primary chorister, stake music chair and Cub Scout leader. Born in Seattle, Wash., to Leroy Victor and Dorothy Jeanne Thompson Martenson.

Victoria and Netzahualcoyotl Salinas

Netzahualcoyotl Salinas, 45, and Victoria Ochoa Pimentel Salinas, five children, Mexico Merida Mission; Palmas Ward, México City Chapultepec Stake. Brother Salinas serves as a counselor in the stake presidency and is a former bishop in several wards and missionary in the Mexico Monterrey East Mission. Area physical facilities manager for the Church. Born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Felipe Salinas Nuñez and Josefina Villazaes Castro.

Sister Salinas serves as a ward Primary president and is a former ward Young Women president and seminary teacher. Born in Mapastepec Chiapas, Mexico, to Rafael Ochoa Llaven and Bertha Luz Pimentel Espinoza.

Susan B. and Michael J Stapley

Michael J Stapley, 64, and Susan Beck Stapley, eight children, Argentina Buenos Aires South Mission; Bountiful 9th Ward, Bountiful Utah Stake. Brother Stapley serves as a stake Young Men president and is a former stake president, bishop, ward Young Men president, high councilor and missionary in the Eastern States Mission. President and chief executive officer, Deseret Mutual. Born in Cedar City, Utah, to Joseph Earl and Sylva Jones Stapley.

Sister Stapley serves as a ward Young Women adviser, ward and temple organist and is a former ward Relief Society president, ward Primary president, and gospel doctrine teacher. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wayne Moore and Evelyn Williams Moon Beck.

Rhonda H. and Nolan S. Taylor

Nolan Scott Taylor, 50, and Rhonda Henderson Taylor, five children, Oklahoma Oklahoma City Mission; Woodbriar Ward, North Salt Lake Utah Stake. Brother Taylor is a former bishop, ward Young Men president, high councilor, Aaronic priesthood adviser, branch president and missionary in the Belgium Antwerp Mission. Partner (attorney), Dorsey & Whitney. Born in Detroit, Mich., to Richard Duane and Hattie Gail Glover Taylor.

Sister Taylor is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, ward Primary and Young Women president, ward Young Women adviser, ward choir director and stake music chairwoman. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Elden Dale and Larna McDermott Henderson.

Aleta M. and James C. Von Stetten

James Cleland Von Stetten, 59, and Aleta Maureen Arnold Von Stetten, five children, South Africa Durban Mission; Reading 1st Ward, Reading Pennsylvania Stake. Brother Von Stetten is a former missionary in the Africa Southeast Area serving as an Area Perpetual Education Fund director, counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and counselor, high priest group leader and seminary teacher. Retired National Account director, Steinway Musical Instruments. Born in Coatesville, Penn., to Wayne and Margaret Kepner Best Von Stetten.

Sister Von Stetten served with her husband in the Africa Southeast Area and is a former stake Primary president, ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society president and teacher and ward librarian. Born in Martinez, Calif., to Earl James and Bonnie Louise Morrison Arnold.
