Two new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service about July 1.
Craig Edward Andrew Godwin, 65, and LaDawn Hamilton Godwin, five children, California San Bernardino Mission; Highland 25th Ward, Highland Utah Stake. President Godwin is a former stake president and counselor, bishop, high councilor, high priest group leader, priest quorum advisor and ward Young Men president. Retired area sales manager and marketing representative, Aventis Pharma and Chevron Oil Company. Born in Ogden, Utah, to James Russell Godwin and Ocy LaRue Helm Christensen.
Sister Godwin is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, counselor in a ward Young Women presidency and homemaking leader. Born in Provo, Utah, to Otis Lamar and Belva Williamson Hamilton
Thomas H. Shaw, 58, and Sharon Shaw, four children, Marshall Islands Majuro Mission; Taylorsville 27th Ward, Taylorsville Utah North Central Stake. President Shaw is a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and counselor, high councilor, temple ordinance worker, ward mission leader, service missionary and missionary in the Spain Madrid Mission. Director, National Guard Bureau. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clarence Thomas and Edna Oakeson Shaw.
Sister Shaw served with her husband in the Spain Madrid Mission and is a former counselor in stake Relief Society and Young Women presidencies, ward Relief Society and Primary president and ward missionary. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Donald Wayne and Lu Rae McDaniel Pearson.
