Nominees were selected by a 23-member steering committee in four categories; the choir's "Music and the Spoken Word" program, the longest running broadcast in America, is nominated in the "National — Pioneer" category.
Inductees are selected from the nominees by an online balloting process that opened June 14. Voting is free and open to the public, but a simple, online registration is required. The voting takes place at www.radiohof.org.
