Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1. Mission assignments will be announced later.

Julie G. and Daniel Bay Gibbons

Daniel Bay Gibbons, 53, and Julie Ann Glenn Gibbons, five children, Cottonwood 3rd Ward, Salt Lake Cottonwood Stake. Brother Gibbons serves as a bishop in a student singles ward and is a former temple ordinance worker, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, elders quorum president and missionary in the Germany Duesseldorf Mission. Utah Justice Court Judge, Holladay City. Born in Salt Lake City, to Francis Marion and Helen Bay Gibbons.

Sister Gibbons is a former stake Young Women secretary, counselor in ward Primary, Young Women and Relief society presidencies, secretary in ward Young Women and Primary and homemaking leader. Born in Nephi, Utah, to John James and Gwendolyn Wahlen Glenn.

Patrica and Robert I. Preston

Robert Ian Preston, 62, and Patricia Garniss Preston, six children, Ashton-Under-Lyne 2nd Ward, Ashton England Stake. Brother Preston serves as a high councilor and an area assistant auditor. He is a former counselor in a mission presidency, stake president, counselor in a stake presidency, bishop and branch president. Managing director, E Preston Electrical. Born in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire, England, to Ernest and Doreen McVeagh Preston.

Sister Preston serves as an area assistant auditor and stake family history center director. She is a former stake Relief Society secretary, counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, ward Relief Society and Young Women president and a seminary teacher. Born in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancashire, England, to Jesse and Sarah Ashton Garniss.

Joni C. and Jonathan M. Prince

Jonathan Merl Prince, 55, and Joni Clement Prince, five children, Stone Cliff Ward, St. George Utah Little Valley Stake. Brother Prince serves as a stake Young Men president and is a former regional welfare agent, curriculum writer, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, bishop's counselor, ward executive secretary, elders quorum president, ward Young Men president, gospel doctrine teacher, seminary teacher and missionary in the Colombia Cali Mission. Retired vice president of Investor Relations, Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. Born in Walnut Creek, Calif., to Merl and Elaine Allred Prince.

Sister Prince serves as a visiting teaching coordinator and is a former stake Young Women president, counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, counselor in three ward Relief Society presidencies, ward Primary pianist and teacher, ward Young Women president and counselor in Young Women presidency and seminary teacher. Born in Brigham City, Utah, to Lee Ellis and Ruth Gilbert Clement.

Gary D. and Pamela L. Rasmussen

Gary Dean Rasmussen, 59, and Pamela Jo Larsen Rasmussen, six children, Binghampton Ward, Tucson Arizona Stake. Brother Rasmussen is a stake president and is a former stake Young Men president, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, ward mission leader, and missionary in the Japan Mission. Chief financial officer, Metro Restaurants. Born in Moscow, Idaho, to Francis Jesper and Norma Tasso Rasmussen.

Sister Rasmussen serves as a counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency and is a former visiting teaching coordinator, stake Young Women camp cook, ward young single adult adviser, stake Relief Society president, ward Relief Society president in two presidencies and counselor in a ward Primary presidency. Born in Moscow, Idaho, to Dean Alfred and Helen Rae Eborn Larsen.

Joyce and Larry R. Stay

Laurence Richard Stay, 57, and Joyce Cutler Stay, seven children, Cottonwood Heights 5th Ward, Salt Lake Cottonwood Heights Stake. Brother Stay serves as a high councilor and as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. He is a former counselor in a stake presidency, stake mission president, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, and missionary in the Uruguay-Paraguay Mission. Senior portfolio manager, Ensign Peak Advisors, Inc. Born in Tooele, Utah, to Jesse Eldred and Helen Lela Valantine Stay.

Sister Stay serves as ward Relief Society president and is a former ward Relief Society compassionate service leader, ward Young Women president, stake Young Women president, counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, ward Primary president and missionary in the Arizona Tempe Spanish Mission. Born in Salt Lake City, to Robert Garr and Beverly Lois Romney Cutler.

Lorie P. and Edward D. Watts

Edward Dale Watts, 60, and Lorie Porter Watts, four children, North Logan 15th Ward, North Logan Utah Stake. Brother Watts serves on a Hispanic council for the Utah North Area and is a former stake president, high councilor, bishop, bishopric counselor, elders quorum president and missionary in the North Argentine Mission. President, Andigen, LC. Born in Hollywood, Calif., to Alfred Dale Watts and Ella Lue Hargrave Wood.

Sister Watts serves as a ward Relief Society teacher and is a former counselor and president in the institute women's association, stake Young Women president, stake Primary president, ward Young Women and Primary president, Primary music leader. Born in Provo, Utah, to Lloyd Aldin Porter and Shirley Faye Palmer Porter.

Mark I. and Kathleen D. Wood

Mark Irving Wood, 62, and Kathleen Dolores Sutliffe Wood, seven children, Fairbanks 3rd Ward, Fairbanks Alaska Stake. Brother Wood serves as executive secretary in the Africa Southeast Area and is a former stake president, counselor in two stake presidencies, stake Young Men president, high councilor, bishop, gospel doctrine teacher and missionary in the Delaware-Maryland Mission. Retired Superior Court Judge, state of Alaska. Born in Evanston, Ill., to William Ransom and Dorothy Jane Irving Wood.

Sister Wood serves as an assistant area executive secretary and is a former ward Primary president, ward Sunday School teacher, ward Young Women president, ward family history consultant, gospel doctrine teacher, ward Young Women adviser and seminary teacher. Born in Norwich, N.Y., to Harold James, Jr. and Dolores Ann Humiston Sutliff.
