Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.

Mary Ann and Fred D. Essig

Fred Delmar Essig, 55, and Mary Ann Sorenson Essig, five children, Chile Santiago North Mission; North Logan 9th Ward, North Logan Utah Stake. Brother Essig is a former counselor in a stake presidency, stake mission president, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, Scoutmaster, ward mission leader and missionary in the Uruguay/Paraguay Mission. Vice president, Dixon & Essig, P.C. Born in Evanston, Ill., to Lester Clay Jr. and Joan Darlene Tingey Essig.

Sister Essig is a former stake and ward Young Women camp director, Young Women sports director, Primary president and counselor, Primary music leader, den leader, counselor in a Relief Society presidency and counselor in a Young Women presidency. Born in Logan, Utah, to David Walter and Sara Lee Ann Murdock Sorenson.

Cindy B. and Lynn A. Gilbert

Lynn Alan Gilbert, 51, and Cindy Bingham Gilbert, three children, Korea Busan Mission; Orchard 3rd Ward, Orem Utah Orchard Stake. Brother Gilbert is a counselor in a branch presidency at the Provo Missionary Training Center and is a former high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, ward mission leader, Scoutmaster and missionary in the Korea Pusan Mission. Partner, Gilbert and Stewart, CPA. Born in Provo, Utah, to Sidney Swainston and Joy Lechtenberg Gilbert.

Sister Gilbert serves as a stake Young Women president and is a former stake Primary secretary, Primary president, Relief Society president, Young Women adviser, Church Service Missionary and Relief Society education counselor. Born in Payson, Utah, to Blaine Ludlow and Lois Gleason Bingham.

Heriberto and Leonor Hernandez

Heriberto Hernandez Vera, 60, and Leonor Rivera Martinez, three children, Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission; Cabo Rojo 1st Ward, Mayagüez Puerto Rico Stake. Brother Hernandez serves as a high councilor and is a former stake president, counselor in a stake presidency and bishop. President, EMS World Networld Corp. Born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, to Moises Hernandez Arocho and Luz E. Vera Trujillo.

Sister Hernandez serves as counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency and is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Primary president, district Young Women president and institute teacher. Born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, to Eduardo Vidal Rivera and Julia Martinez.

Lorraine and Brent L. Jameson

Brent L Jameson, 64, and Lorraine Bird Jameson, six children, Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission; Shalimar Ward, Tempe Arizona Stake. Brother Jameson serves as a missionary in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Lubumbashi Mission and is a former stake president, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, elders quorum president, counselor in an elders quorum presidency and missionary in the French East Mission. Retired professor, Phoenix College. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Parley L and Leah Nielsen Jameson.

Sister Jameson serves as a missionary with her husband and is a former counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, counselor in a ward Young Women presidency, Young Women adviser, counselor in a Primary presidency and Relief Society instructor. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Karl Phillips and Iza Draper Bird.

Daniel K and Kaye Judd

Daniel K Judd, 54, and Kaye Seegmiller Judd, four children, Ghana Accra Mission; Canyon View 5th Ward, Orem Utah Canyon View Stake. Brother Judd serves on the Board of Trustees of LDS Family Services and as a gospel doctrine teacher. He is a former counselor in the Sunday School general presidency, stake president, bishop and missionary in the California San Diego Mission. Professor, Brigham Young University. Born in Kanab, Utah, to LeRoy P. and Phyllis Farnsworth Judd.

Sister Judd serves as a Young Women president and is a former stake Young Women camp director, stake Relief Society president and counselor, stake adult religion class teacher, counselor in ward Relief Society and Young Women presidencies and Primary pianist. Born in St. George, Utah, to Barnard H and Deloris Sullivan Seegmiller.

Rubens C. and Tania P. Lanius

Rubens C. Lanius, 62, and Tia P. Lanius, three children, Brazil Recife Mission; Barigui Ward, Curitiba Brazil Igua Stake. Brother Lanius serves as a high priest group leader and as a sealer in the Curitiba Brazil Temple. He is a former counselor in the San Paulo Brazil Temple presidency, counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, bishop and counselor in a bishopric. Former law adviser, Senate of Brazil. Born in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, to Luiz Ruben and Maria Silva Lanius.

Sister Lanius serves as a temple ordinance worker in the Curitiba Brazil Temple and is a former assistant temple matron in the San Paulo Brazil Temple, stake Relief Society president, counselor in stake Relief Society and Primary presidencies, ward Relief Society president and counselor and Young Women president. Born in San Paulo, Brazil, to Raul Taques and Irene de Campos Pimentel.

Janet and E. Kent Rust

E. Kent Rust, 57, and Janet Lamb Rust, five children, Russia Yekaterinburg Mission; Moscow Branch, Moscow Russia District. Brother Rust serves on a district council and is a former counselor in a bishopric, branch president, counselor in a branch presidency, and gospel doctrine teacher. Training manager, Chevron. Born in Roosevelt, Utah, to Erwin and Dorthy Iona Hansen Rust.

Sister Rust serves as a counselor in a branch Relief Society presidency and is a former Relief Society president, counselor in branch Young Women and Primary presidencies and seminary teacher. Born in Panguitch, Utah, to Glendon LaNar and Irene Chamberlain Lamb.
