Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service about July 1.
C. Samuel Gustafson, 61, and Linda L. Gustafson, four children, Japan Fukuoka Mission; Cottonwood 3rd Ward, Salt Lake Cottonwood Stake. Brother Gustafson serves as a Church-service missionary and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, stake and ward Young Men president, bishop and missionary in the Japan Central Mission. Vice president and chief operating officer, Capitol Industries. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Herbert Julius and Joan Brower Gustafson.
Sister Gustafson serves as a counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency and is a former Young Women and Primary president, counselor in Relief Society and Primary presidencies and Young Women adviser. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Earl Woodruff and Helen Keate Larsen.
Maurice Dowling Hiers Jr., 60, and Charlene Jones Hiers, five children, Utah Ogden Mission; Marlborough Ward, Boston Massachusetts Stake. Brother Hiers serves as a stake president and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, high councilor, branch president, bishop and counselor in a bishopric. Retired regional vice president, Partners In Leadership. Born in Jolliet, Ill., to Maurice Dowling and Jean Mason Purdom Hiers.
Sister Hiers serves as a Relief Society president and is a former counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, Primary president, Young Women president and seminary teacher. Born in Tucson, Ariz., to Howard Ray and Bessie Mae Jones.
Letvin Lozano Rivera, 58, and Angela Ines Benavides de Lozano, two children, Colombia Bogota South Mission; Chia Ward, Bogota Colombia Granada Stake. Brother Lozano serves as a counselor in the Colombia Bogota North Mission and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, stake Young Men president, bishop, high priest group leader, elders quorum president and Young Men president. Retired general manager, National Cash Register. Born in Ibague, Tolima, Colombia to Lucio Lozano Restrepo and Graciela Rivera Arroyabe.
Sister Lozano serves as an auxiliary adviser in the Colombia Bogota North Mission and is a former temple worker, counselor in a stake Primary presidency, Relief Society and Young Women president and seminary teacher. Born in Prado, Tolima, Colombia to Ignacio Benavides Bermudez and Ana Beatriz Caicedo Cespedes.
Alden Charles Robinson, 62, and Brenda Peterson Robinson, three children, Belgium/Netherlands Mission; Flowell Ward, Fillmore Utah Stake. Brother Robinson serves as a Sunday School teacher and is a former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, counselor in a bishopric, high priest group leader, Young Men president, Varsity Scout coach and missionary in the Netherlands Mission. Sister Robinson serves as a Sunday School teacher and is a former stake Young Women camp director, Young Women president and counselor, choir director, Primary music leader, Relief Society teacher and institute teacher. Born in Salina, Utah, to Roger James and Glenna Peterson.
Shawn David Sederholm, 48, and Heidi King Sederholm, six children, Denmark Copenhagen Mission; Rogers 1st Ward, Rogers Arkansas Stake. Brother Sederholm serves as a counselor in a stake presidency and is a former bishop, counselor in a bishopric, Young Men president, elders quorum president and missionary in the Denmark Copenhagen Mission. Sister Sederholm serves as a Young Women president and is a former Primary president and counselor and counselor in a Relief Society presidency. Born in Richfield, Utah, to Eugene and Ellen Valeria Smith King.
David Lee Wright, 50, and Cynthia Dorene Long Wright, six children, Chile Santiago East Mission; Jacksonville Ward, Central Point Oregon Stake. Brother Wright serves as a ward missionary and is a former stake president, counselor in a stake presidency, stake mission president, stake Young Men president, bishop, high councilor and missionary in the Uruguay Mission. Sister Wright is a former stake Young Women president, counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, Sunday School teacher, ward missionary and seminary teacher. Born in San Jose, California, to Jimmie Louis and Judith Ann Long.
Juan Francisco Zorrilla Sequera, 44, and Zulay Aurelia Gomez Rodriguez Zorrilla, three children, Venezuela Maracaibo Mission; Las Brisas Ward, Maturín Venezuela Stake. Brother Zorrilla serves as a stake president and is a former executive secretary in the Venezuela Barcelona Mission, high councilor, counselor in a district presidency, bishop and branch president. Sister Zorrilla serves as a counselor in a Primary presidency and as a family history consultant.
