  • Temple Square Christmas and New Year's Eve Performances 2009

    Christmas time with all its festive lighting and Christ-oriented displays will be memorable on Temple Square this year. Choral and musical groups will present free music, carols, and songs of the season in the following venues:
  • Legacy Theater drops late showing of movie "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration"

    Effective Nov. 7, the Legacy Theater in the Joseph Smith Building in Salt Lake City adjacent to Temple Square changed its standing schedule for showings of "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration."
  • 'What have you learned?'

    A young missionary working his way through the Missionary Training Center is feeling the strain of learning the gospel in a new language and wonders about his ability to meet demands. Exhausted at the end of a strenuous day, he finds a soft chair and opens the Doctrine and Covenants.
  • Shining moments: Standing out

    The 2009 graduating class of Grafton High School in Yorktown, Va., was average size of 309 seniors, five of which were members of the Church. Although the ratio of LDS students in the senior class was average for that part of southeastern Virginia, the high schoolers were anything but ordinary.
