Born in Ogden, Utah, to Melvin L. and Emma Martin Schwartz; received bachelor's degree in English from BYU; served as second counselor in Young Women general presidency until being sustained as first counselor March 31, 2007; former Young Women general board member, stake Young Women president, counselor and adviser; Young Single Adult Relief Society adviser and Relief Society instructor; married Stephen E. Dalton; parents of six children.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Kenneth N. and Fern Swan Nielsen; received bachelor's and master's degree in speech pathology and audiology, and Ed.S. degree from BYU; former member of Young Women general board, Relief Society president, Primary counselor, and served with her husband when he was in the Asia Area presidency as a member of the Second Quorum of the Seventy and when he presided over the Mongolia Ulaanbaatar Mission; former special education teacher, administrator and elementary school principal in Jordan (Utah) School District; married Richard E. Cook; he and his first wife, Clea, who died in 1984, had four children.
