    Irene Hailes Ricks, 101, who served on the Young Women general board from 1946-63, and who served on the Church Correlation Committee from 1967-71, died Oct. 4, 2011, in Provo, Utah.

    Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.
  • United States information: Kentucky

    The first missionaries known to have visited Kentucky were Samuel H. Smith and Reynolds Cahoon. They passed through the northern part of Kentucky in late June 1831 on their way to Missouri.
  • Mormons in Kentucky join with other groups to clean up after flooding in Louisville

    Members of the Louisville Kentucky Stake joined in relief efforts during two Saturdays in October to clean up homes damaged by floodwaters during the summer.
