Korea Busan Mission

  • New mission presidents

    Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.
  • New temple presidents

    Four new temple presidents have been called by the First Presidency with their wives called as matrons. Three will begin service in January, while one has begun service.
  • Country information: Republic of Korea

    Latter-day Saint servicemen performed the first missionary work during the Korean War, between 1951 and 1953. Among the first Korean members was Ho Jik Kim, converted while earning a doctorate in the United States. He was baptized on 29 September 1951 in the Susquehanna River, near Harmony, Pa.
  • New stake presidents

    The Campo Grande Brazil Monte Libano Stake, which includes the Aquidauana Branch, Bandeirantes, Coopharadio, Parati and Universitario wards, has been created by Elder Stanley G. Ellis of the Seventy.
