  • New mission presidents

    Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.

    Visiting her relatives in Pontiac, Lucy Mack Smith, mother of Joseph Smith, arrived in Michigan in the spring of 1831. Accompanying her was her niece, Almira Mack, a native of Pontiac. She had been baptized in New York in 1830 and became Michigan's first Church member.
  • 'Children Are Precious to the Lord'

    Members of the Hart Branch, Grand Rapids Michigan Stake, entered a float in the recent National Asparagus Festival Parade, a festival that generates much excitement here each year.
