Nebraska Omaha Mission

  • New missions 10 announced in seven areas

    To better align resources and adjust to the ever changing needs of the Church, 10 new missions will be organized in July, while 14 other missions will be combined with neighboring missions. The resulting number of missions will be 340.

    After the Latter-day Saints were driven from Nauvoo, Ill., in February 1846, they spent the rest of that winter and most of the following summer struggling to cross Iowa.
  • Triplets receive mission calls same day, will enter MTC together

    Nathan, Jason and John Hansen share a lot in common. Together they comprise three-fourths of a set of quadruplets born premature at 26 weeks of gestation to John and Laurie Hansen in 1990.
  • Circle completed in Winter Quarters

    Mormon pioneers sang as they crossed the plains after their exodus from Nauvoo. The songs lifted spirits, helped renew courage and generally provided a distraction from the rigors of their journey.
