  • New visitors' center directors

    Eleven new visitors' center directors have been called with their wives by the First Presidency. They will begin service in January.
  • Missionaries remembered as diligent, faithful

    Two missionaries from the Texas McAllen Mission — Elder Trevor Reinhold Strong and Elder Derek Jason Walker — were killed and another missionary was injured after being hit by a car during the evening on Nov. 8 in Donna, Texas.
  • LDS Marine killed in action

    Marine Corporal Julio Vargas of the Oceanside 3rd Ward, Carlsbad California Stake, was killed by a roadside bomb on Tuesday, July 20, in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan.
  • New temple presidents

    Six new temple presidents have been called by the First Presidency, with their wives called as matrons. They will begin service in November.
