    Virginia Elaine Davis Ward, 90, who served with her husband, Lyle McLean Ward, as he presided over the Washington DC South Mission from 1977-80 and as he served as a regional representative, died Jan. 23, 2012, in Salt Lake City.
  • New visitors' center directors

    Eleven new visitors' center directors have been called with their wives by the First Presidency. They will begin service in January.
  • Virginia stakes give statewide day of service

    Still reeling from an earthquake, a hurricane and a tropical storm during August and September, residents of Virginia welcomed the community assistance that more than 10,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provided on Sept. 24, 2011.
  • Missionary zone service project helps Haiti

    Twenty-two elders and sisters from the Washington D.C. South mission recently helped in a service project to benefit victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
