  • New visitors' center directors

    Eleven new visitors' center directors have been called with their wives by the First Presidency. They will begin service in January.
  • Relief Society founding commemoration in birthplace, Nauvoo

    March 17, 2011, a day to celebrate the birth of the Relief Society, was warm but cloudy in Nauvoo.
  • Good will among Nauvoo faiths

    On the bluff above Historic Nauvoo stand two tall steeples. On one has a statue of the Angel Moroni. On the other is a cross. The first, of course, is the steeple of the Nauvoo Temple; the second, just a couple hundred yards north, is Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
  • A prophet's visit

    President Thomas S. Monson made brief visits to Nauvoo, Ill., and Kirtland, Ohio, on Oct. 9 and 10. It was the first time since he became president of the Church on Feb. 3, 2008, that he has visited the sites steeped in Church history.
