New mission presidents
Six new mission presidents have been called by the First Presidency. They and their wives will begin their service about July 1. The new mission presidents and where they will serve are:
David R. Calvert, 59, Jamaica Kingston Mission; Plum Creek Valley Ward, Willow Creek Colorado Stake; counselor in the Colorado Denver South Mission presidency; former executive secretary to mission presidency, temple ordinance worker, counselor in stake presidency, bishop, Young Men president, and seminary teacher; attorney; received bachelor's degree from BYU and law degree from Denver University; born in Greenville, Utah, to William Ross and LaPreal Atkin Calvert; married Phyllis Kay Moody, six children. She is stake music director/cultural arts specialist; former member of stake Relief Society board, stake music director and organist, Relief Society president and teacher, counselor in Young Women presidency, Relief Society board member, music director and organist; attended BYU, BYU-Hawaii and Metro State College; born in Sutherland, Utah, to Marvin Juel and Marie Ethyl Thurmon Moody.Published: Saturday, May 14, 1994
