    A Mormon immigrant company under direction of Samuel Brannan departed on the ship Brooklyn from New York on 4 February 1846 en route to the Great Salt Lake valley via California. The group under the direction of Brannan navigated the southern tip of South America around Cape Horn and arrived at Yerba Buena on 31 July 1846.
  • New mission presidents

    Seven new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin service about July 1.
  • Joy to the World DVD a 'Huge success'

    Early observations from missions around the United States and Canada indicate that use last December of the "Joy to the World" DVD is helping members share the gospel.
